Caving in Kosovo
Marble halls, karst caves and hidden passages beneath Kosovo's mountains.
Kosovo's limestone and marble landscapes hide some remarkable caves. A few are show caves with lit paths open to visitors, while wild caves in the Rugova gorge and around Peja should only be explored with an experienced local guide.
Best season: All year — cave temperatures stay cool and stable. Wild caves are best visited in dry weather.
